If you want to get through high school and go on to college, then yes they are. Not only that you will then have math in your life after all that is done. It may not be the hard things, but there will be math. That is why it is really important to your well being and learning it now will only help you later in life. How will it help you?
Well it will always be there for you have to provide for you and your family. You will need to be able to budget your money and your check book. Know how much things are in the stores and be able to pay for them accordingly. You will have to know basic math to do these things. Not only that but depending on your job or profession that you choose, there may be more math.
If you are a financial advisor for a but company you will need to know lots of math. Chemistry professions need to know math and problem solving. Doctors, nurses, lab techs. They all need to know how to use math for formula's, medications, doses to give. That is why it is so important to know math and make good grades. Then you can do anything you want to do in life and know that math will not be a problem.
Now that you know that are you going to work harder on your math skills? Even if you need a little help that is fine as long as you get what you are learning now so you can use it later. It is all about the learning process and you will always need it no matter how young or old you are. |
